Just got this message from Alex Kovalchuk at TechHit:

** Quote **
New tweet notification is definitely on our TODO list. I am hoping that we will add a "play a sound" option in a few weeks.

Thanks for the comment Misty! The more I use OutTwit the more I like it. Anything that takes an app away from my taskbar is very much welcome.

I've read about OutTwit in the various twitter utility posts floating around but for whatever reason it never really sunk in as something to try until I started noticing a lot of the heavy hitters in the social world using it.

I'm still not sure if it's good or bad that I show up in my top twitterer list. Either one can say I'm active in the community or that I simply talk too much!

Paul,

I love OutTwit too! I hadn't checked out the statistics yet, but it is really cool to be able to manipulate my tweets in Outlook and tweet right from there. I also love the feature where you click on a tweet and the author goes in your OutTwit window automatically to help avoid misspells.

I plan to publish a post on my blog about OutTwit and some other Outlook addins within the next day or so - I'll try to get a definitive answer for you from TechHit regarding Outlook rules and tweets, but they are not working in my Outlook/Outtwit either.
